Caffe Bottega Italiana

Caffe Bottega Italiana truly brings the warmth and beauty of Italian culture to Northern Virginia. Their huge selection of imported meats, cheeses, ingredients, and wines create an authentic experience, and it made me feel like I were truly at a grocery store or sandwich shop in Italy - you simply cannot find this anywhere else in the area. Not only were the sandwiches, coffee, and pastries phenomenal, but the staff were incredibly welcoming and kind. Immediately upon entering the store, we were greeted and offered samples of various meats. They were also extremely patient and friendly with me as I practiced my Italian! I would give them 6 stars if I could! I’ll 100% be back!

There is so much to discover in this little shop. Rooms of imported wine, snacks,market staples, pastas, oils, olives, frozen foods, and a very robust and well priced cheese and deli counter. If you are hungry they have sandwiches and Roman Pizza. I took home Arancinis and they were fantastic, as well as the Sfogliatelle. Will absolutely be back.

The sandwiches would be part of my last meal! Delicious food and desserts. The atmosphere was super cute and Italian feeling. They gave us samples of the meats. I loved how delicious the basic sandwich was. They gave a store and wine shop to peruse while you wait for your sandwich or pizza. Pricey-er but 100% worth it!! $16 for a sandwich

Cute little bodega with kind staff and a truly authentic Italian selection. When we went, we purchased a drink and several sandwiches. But upon browsing around the store, it featured almost everything you’d want if you were looking to make it authentic Italian dinner at home… which is actually the store’s strength. Don’t go for the sandwiches. For $16, you get two small squares of focaccia with what’s sums up to be pretty much one piece of meat, one piece of cheese and a huge heap of arugula. The ingredients tasted fine, but authenticity doesn’t translate to price in this case, and the sandwich counter was a huge rip off… tiny portions for the price. You’d be better off buying the ingredients and making at home Looking forward to seeing what this place turns into! I definitely hope that they figure things out on their sandwiches, because I would love to go back, and this area desperately needs an authentic Italian store like this.

After a long day, we chanced upon this quaint little Italian cafe + grocery store that serves amazing sandwiches. We had the focaccia porchetta and the panini porchetta and they were simply delicious. We also got their espresso and hot chocolate and they were sooooo good. What a lovely find! Would love to visit again someday soon. :)

Caffe Bottega Italiana is definitely a hidden gem. A little taste of Italy in Leesburg. This place is 10/10 highly recommend. The service was fantastic. They let me try the meat and vinegar before buying it. They have the sweetest and most welcoming people working here. The quality was excellent. Imported meats and market items from Italy. The bread had the right amount of crisp to it and each bite was a taste of heaven. I was highly impressed and will be returning again.

Just in town for a wedding and needed a quick bite, but I was certainly not expecting to chance upon such a gem. Incredibly friendly staff, quality ingredients prepared well, and a delightful set of outdoor seating. We had panini and focaccia sandwiches, and my eyes were hungry for their arancini as well; everything was quite good. I unfortunately don’t see myself returning to Leesburg anytime soon but I’d find an excuse just so that I might return to Caffe Bottega Italiana.

Very surprised at how this was with so many stellar reviews. We've been wanting to try the authentic Italian sandwiches here for awhile and finally did. Honestly, it's not great, especially for the price. The focaccia sandwiches are $16 and for that I would expect to actually get some meat on it. Instead it's more of an arugala sandwich with two measly pieces of speck. Surprisingly, they were very bland as well. The arancini was tasty, but mostly just a ball of bread with very little filling. The staff were all very nice, but unfortunately authenticity doesn't translate to value.
